Product book photo.jpg

This month sees the release of my first monograph - entitled Product, courtesy of German art publishers, Kerber Verlag. Commissioned by the North East Photography Network and Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art and designed in collaboration with Brighten The Corners, the book is intended to be an artwork in it’s own right, departing from the linear ‘portfolio’ format of many monographs and instead juxtaposing and entangling previously separate photographic projects in order to highlight hidden connections across our globalized webs of production and destruction. The photographic work is accompanied by the writings of Luc Boltanski & Arnaud Esquerre, Alistair Robinson, Lucy Norris, Mike Crang, Nicky Gregson, George Revill, Helen James, Emily McMehen, Michalis Nikolakakis and Carol McKay.

Clothing Recycled and Welcome to Fashion Week are combined under the title Product - as two ends of the same story - for a solo exhibition at the Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art from 31 August 2019 to 03 November 2019.

To accompany the show, The Hopeless Transport Archive will also be exhibited in the NGCA Collectons Space.
